At the heart of all of our installations is the implicit understanding that children need to be safe while accessing pond life from around the water's edge. With this in mind our ponds come in two different styles, both of which are sited inside a securely fenced area.

The first is elliptical in shape with shallows all the way round and a depth of 1 metre in the middle. Although the pond is built at ground level the surrounding pathway is sunken allowing children to observe the pond surface at eye height.

The second style is amoeba-like in shape with tongues of land protruding into the pond centre allowing for safe access to shallows and the depths.

Both styles are constructed in Superadobe and lined with clay, creating a maintenance friendly, natural habitat that will provide years of fascinating study opportunities.
