There's something magical about sitting around an open fire whether as part of a structured outdoor curriculum or simply, with companions in contemplative silence. Ideally situated in a clearing amongst the trees of a wildlife area the stone hearth can be made to suit class size and available resources.
But it doesn't have to be situated in the woods. Built out in the open, contained by a ring of rocks and surrounded by an earth berm our Camp Fire area can be planted out with chamomile and thyme to complement the smell of wood smoke.
Best used in conjunction with our Log Pile, which provides dry storage space for kindling and a generous supply of timber.
